How do you know which Electronic Cutting Machine to Choose?

If you are new to the Electronic cutting Machine market, it can be confusing... there are a few different brands out there, and within these brands there are different models to choose from - how do you make the right choice ???.

1 : Why Choose Silhouette over the other brands : In my experience new customers mainly look at 3 things when it comes to which Electronic Cutting brant to choose, Price, Ease of Use and Software. The reality is that hardware wise they all do basically the same thing, with a few different features on different brands. Excluding special deals, the pricing of the different brands in the New Zealand market is within $100 of each other when comparing like machines - sorry I haven't helped much so far....

HOWEVER... Where Silhouette is a big step up is the software - Silhouette Studio is by far the most powerful cutting machine software on the market today (and the base version is free). For me, this is reason enough to seriously look at the Silhouette machines over the other brands - but don't take my word for it, you can download a fully featured version of the software right here for free - without owning a machine so you can check it out for yourself.
